Fresh Produce!

It has been so exciting to see how our projects are combating the food desert and making a way for food security right here in our small town!

The Community Kitchen has seen abundant growth this year among it’s raised beds and the Orchard has been overflowing with so many different fruits and veggies. Our fruiting trees have begun producing fruit even though this was unexpected due to their age! We have harvested plums and peaches and even picked our first apple this week. Passersby have enjoyed the bountiful harvest of strawberries, onions, garlic, potatoes, peas, celery, cucumbers, tomatoes, and so much more. Can you believe the fennel is taller than me? (I’m 5’6” by the way.)

As fruits, veggies, and herbs continue to produce, please stop by and pick what you can use. This orchard is FOR our community!
