Plant-A-Seed!

The PRGC has been incredibly excited to provide some seed starting events thanks to a grant! We have been privileged to offer the event at the Kiwanis of Waynesville Annual Festival, the Kiwanis Action Club, Milltown Farmer’s Market, Mama T’s Summer Celebration, and the Canton Recreation Park Garden Week Summer Camp. We have pictures for you to check out below. Unfortunately, we are unable to share pictures from each event due to certain restrictions.

This was a great opportunity for us to help educate about the importance of growing produce and how to make it thrive! We had people of all ages and abilities participate.

At one of the events, participants were encouraged to bring the wackiest item they could think of to recycle as a planter. The creativity was astounding. My personal favorite was a bathroom plunger!
